CreaDive – Dive into creative industries employment!

In the ESR+ funded CreaDive project, professionals and future practitioners in creative industries are coached, and a permanent platform for their work is developed. Entrepreneurship and career path coaching sessions, conducted in both Finnish and English, are aimed at professionals in the creative industries in the region of Southwest Finland, as well as those aspiring to enter the field. Participation in the coaching is free of charge.

Coaching

A total of 6 coaching periods are organized in Turku during the project:

  • Spring 2024 – 2 coaching sessions (FULL)
  • Fall 2024 – 1 coaching session (Registration is open! Enroll here before May 15th)
  • Spring 2025 – 2 coaching sessions
  • Fall 2025 – 1 coaching session

The coaching lasts for 4 months (in-person coaching 3h/week). The coaching group is divided into small groups that meet once a week (1h), in addition to a common coaching session.

Participants in the coaching receive more information about various ways of working in creative industries and support for their own career path and entrepreneurship. At the beginning of the coaching program, an individual coaching path is created for the participant, aiming either for finding employment or starting their own business.

Students are advised to inquire about the possibility of accrediting the coaching as part of their studies from their own educational institution. The coaching corresponds to approximately 5 ECTS credits in terms of content and workload.

Incubation Coaching

After completing the first coaching period, participants can continue to a four-month incubation coaching period. During this time, the coached individual, either alone or in a team, continues to develop and bring their business idea to the right markets under guided supervision. The content of this follow-up, or incubation coaching, includes, among other things, developing the business idea using service design methods, sales and marketing coaching, teamwork skills, business operations, and financial management.

How to join?

The fall 2024 coaching period will take place on Thursdays from August 29th to December 12th, 2024, from 1 PM to 4 PM, with in-person teaching in Turku, languages being Finnish and English. If you want to develop and become part of a creative network and ecosystem, apply now!
